Familiarize yourself with URI’s curricular process before beginning your proposal. This will help you understand the steps involved in the curricular process and accurately estimate how long your proposal may take to reach approval.
How the Curriculum Process Works
You will need access to Kuali Curriculum Management (Kuali CM) to propose any curricular item.

The following sections of this walkthrough are grouped by section of the proposal form.
Complete the following fields with your contact information.
Effective Term & Year Select the term and year in which you intend the program to become effective. If the selected effective term has passed the applicable deadline by the time the proposal reaches the Faculty Senate, it will automatically be updated to the next available term.
First Graduation Term Select the term and year in which you anticipate the first students will graduate with this credential.
**Credential Type** Select the type of credential you are proposing: Degree, Major, Minor, or Certificate.
**Level** Select the level of the program: Undergraduate, Graduate, or Dual Currently, the only Dual Degree program offered at URI is the Pharm.D.
**Academic Calendar** Select the academic calendar for the program: Accelerated 7-week through URI Online, or Traditional 14-week with Summer and J-Term Sessions.
Program Locations Select all locations where the program will be offered.
College Select the college in which the program is housed.
Department Select the department in which the program is housed.
