What is Kuali Curriculum Management?

Kuali Curriculum Management (CM) is URI’s system for managing university curriculum and the curriculum approval process. It uses electronic forms and workflow to route course, program, and specialization proposals through the appropriate levels of review and approval.

Kuali, the Catalog, and eCampus

Kuali serves as the central source for approved curriculum information:

Why it matters

Information entered into Kuali can flow directly into the official academic catalog and eCampus. Proposals should therefore be clear, accurate, and unambiguous, as the information entered during the proposal process becomes part of the University’s official curriculum.

Access & Logging Into Kuali

Access to Kuali CM is limited to faculty, Deans, and select administrators and staff. Only faculty members may submit curriculum proposals.

Faculty Access

Faculty members automatically have access to Kuali CM, as faculty are the users authorized to submit curricular proposals. If this is your first time accessing Kuali CM, sign in using your URI Microsoft 365 account.

Non-Faculty Access

Access to Kuali CM is also available to deans and select administrators or staff. In specific cases, other non-faculty users may request access.

Use the Kuali Access Package to request access using your URI SSO. After selecting Continue, you will be asked to provide your job or position title and a business justification for needing access. Once your request has been reviewed, you will be notified whether access has been granted.
