All new courses must be certified as having been reviewed by the faculty of the originating academic organization. Certification must be provided by the appropriate authority, which may include the Department Chair, Area Coordinator, or, in some cases, the College Curriculum Committee Chair.
The proposer should leave this section blank. The Department Chair or other authorized curriculum reviewer will complete the certification by checking the box to confirm that the course has been reviewed by the appropriate faculty, entering their name, and providing the date of certification.
Once the proposal reaches the course certification step in the workflow, it cannot move forward until the designated certifier completes this section.
